Smelling the Roses

Mama and Dada and I finally had dinner at Spago to see my friend Thomas.  He's a chef and I pretend to be Thomas a lot!  I even have a chef hat and apron.  We didn't get menus, we just sat at a table with a view of the kitchen and servers brought plates and plates of food to us.  We had so many things - lots of raw fish, fava beans, sorbet...  Mama and Dada just kept eating and eating!  I mostly ate bread and asked when dessert was going to be served.  When dessert came - it was FOUR plates of dessert!  And each plate had three desserts on it.  There were so many desserts.  And best of all, Thomas took me into the kitchen and showed me around.  He even took me into a refrigerator that was big enough to walk in to!  I was so happy to see Thomas at work.  I asked him how old I have to be before I can work for him!
Today Mama and I went to Butterfly Pavilion and I got to see so many butterflies.  I almost stepped on some butterflies on the ground.  After the butterflies, we played at the rose garden and I smelled a lot of roses and dug in the dirt like an archaeologist.   I even found a bone!  I'm saving it for Yai-Yai to teach me about it.  And I closed my eyes when I smelled the flowers to pretend to be blind.  It was a fun morning!  Xoxo, Dagny
